F.A.Q.

Here are some answers to the most frequently asked questions arriving in my inbox:

Q: How do you arrive at quoted prices for projects?

A: Projects are quoted based on a variety of factors, but mainly how busy I am to start with, what your deadline is, how much work I think your project will be, whether you will earn income directly from reselling the work, how many rights you require, whether I will have opportunities to use the work for other earning purposes.

Q: When I pay you to create an image for me, don't I own the rights to that image?

A: I follow the Graphic Artist Guild's, "Pricing and Ethical Guidelines", and therefore when I create an image for you, you own only the rights assigned at the time of quotation unless other permissions are granted in writing at some other time.

Q: I am an owner/participant of a PSP group. Can we use your artwork for greation of tags, tubes and/or signatures for personal/learning use only? or Can I use one of your images as an icon on a discussion board/forum? or Can I use one of your images in my blog design? or Can I use one of your images in a blog post?

A: I am happy to allow my work to be used for personal, non-profit use, however, images must not be altered (although objects such as people may be used without their respective backgrounds. I also require a name and copyright credit and link, and please note that any work owned by a third party (as indicated througout my portfolio) should not be used without specific permission in case of copyright infringement. I cannot allow use of my images on sites or in relation to topics of questionable subject matter (pornography, politics, strong language, racial hatred, etc). If you're not sure, please ask. Lastly, please save images to your site - do not deep link images from my site and steal my bandwidth. I reserve the right to decline the use of any image for any reason.

Q: Can I license your work and sell your image as posters, on t-shirts, greeting cards, etc...

A: Various licensing opportunites are available and I would be more than happy to discuss your proposal. Please email me with your information.

Q: Will you draw a picture of my wife/child/dog, etc...

A: I would be more than happy to work on your private commission. Please email with the details of your commission for specific information.
