We just returned from a wonderful vacation in good old Orlando (yes, Disney).  We drove, which I highly recommend, as long as you aren’t taking an under-2 year old, who will be convinced that you are sadistic and out to torture them for entertainment…. and trust me, it won’t be entertaining for anyone.  But the princesses delighted all 3 little girls we took, and I always enjoy spending time with my parents.

So it is back in the saddle and I’ve done so much work since my last update, that it is hard to know where to begin, but with approximately 3000 unique visitors per month (thank you visitors!), it will be worth the effort to hopefully give you some entertainment that doesn’t involve begging to be set free of car seats and being hit in the head by flying pencils thrown by disgruntled toddlers.

Here goes….

In other news, I had my first friend-date since I’ve been in Toronto (yes, my social life has been that sad).  I’ve kind of been in an adjustment period and as a result, I think I introverted a little more than I should have.  Anyway, broke the fast with the friend equivalent of homemade eggs benedict with hollandaise.  Yum!  Tina, you are awesome and I had so much fun laughing with you tonight and I’m so looking forward to more!

Thank you Fiona, for putting together this video as a memorial to our beautiful friend Tonia Monaco, who passed away June 19th after a long battle with cancer.

Tonia has truly been an angel in my life, offering me a lot of love and support in the few years I was lucky enough to know her. She was always there, smiling, laughing and loving me, and letting me love her in return. She never judged or got annoyed with me, even when I was being a total moron.

Tonia, I am so grateful to have had you in my life.  I wish it could have been a longer friendship, but I am glad you can rest peacefully now.  I miss you, always.
